A few months ago, a cat wandered in to Grandpa John’s food market and started to make himself at home. At first, Grandpa didn’t like the idea of a cat in his store, but Grandma Maureen reminded him that mice were visiting the store and frightening away the customers. So Grandpa John said, ” If the cat can keep the mice out of the store and the pigeons from landing on the sidewalk in front of the store, he can stay, but if not, out he goes.”
His grandchildren, Annie and Bobby keep asking Grandpa John if they can name the cat and he always says,”Not until I’m sure he can stay.” Last week Annie reminded her grandpa that the cat had been doing a good job since the first day he came into the store. “Okay, said Grandpa John.
Annie and Bobby ran off to tell the other “Can Do” kids and ask for their help in naming the cat.
Here are some of the names they came up with: Twitty Cat, “Can Do” Cat, Stripes and Kitty Cat. What name do you think they gave the cat?
Be sure to visit in a few days and find out the Cat’s name!
